Dnata has been re-awarded a ground handling licence at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, securing its position at one of Europe's busiest aviation hubs for another seven years.

The licence follows a competitive public tender run by the airport operator as Schiphol enters the next phase of its ground handling operations. It allows dnata to keep delivering passenger, baggage, ramp and cargo services to airlines flying through the Dutch capital.

dnata has operated at Schiphol for more than a decade. The company currently supports over 20 passenger and cargo airlines at the airport, with a workforce of more than 1,200 employees. Each year, its teams handle roughly 500,000 tonnes of cargo and around 16,000 flights.

Thiemo van Spellen, Managing Director of dnata Netherlands, said the award reflects trust in the company's people and operational capabilities. He added that dnata looks forward to working closely with Schiphol, airline customers, employees, unions and industry partners as the airport moves forward, with a shared focus on smooth operations and high service standards.

With the new licence in place, dnata plans to build on its existing operations, strengthen customer partnerships and pursue further growth at the airport. Its local team will support airlines through the transition into the new licence period.

The renewal also underscores dnata's long term commitment to the Netherlands, where it operates dnata Cargo City Amsterdam, a €70 million facility with capacity for 600,000 tonnes of cargo annually.

Globally, dnata provides ground handling, cargo, travel, catering and retail services across 37 countries. In the 2025-26 financial year, the company handled 888,793 aircraft turns and moved 3.2 million tonnes of cargo worldwide.
