Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) has committed to Camber Creek, a Washington-based venture capital firm managing nearly $1 billion in assets and specialising exclusively in property technology.

The move signals DFDF's growing focus on sector-specialist funds that align with Dubai's long-term economic ambitions.

Camber Creek, founded in 2011, operates a concentrated portfolio model of 15 to 20 companies per fund, targeting predominantly Series A and above opportunities. Its partner team brings over 60 years of real estate industry experience and more than 30 years in venture investing, giving the firm a sharp operational edge in identifying scalable proptech solutions.

A standout element of Camber Creek's investment model is its Beta Labs programme, a proprietary validation process that introduces prospective portfolio companies to strategic limited partners before any capital is deployed. The mechanism allows the firm to gather direct commercial feedback and assess real market viability ahead of investment decisions.

Over the past decade, Camber Creek has backed more than 47 proptech companies, with notable exits including the sale of TaskEasy to WorkWave and Building Engines to JLL. Its active portfolio includes category leaders such as Bilt Rewards, VTS, Flex, Measurabl and Notarize.

Nader Albastaki, Managing Director of DFDF, said the firm's disciplined, high-conviction approach aligns directly with DFDF's mandate to back sector-focused funds that support Dubai's D33 Agenda while delivering strong returns to the broader Dubai investment ecosystem.

Beyond capital, the partnership opens meaningful pathways for Camber Creek's US-based portfolio companies to access DFDF's regional network, offering a structured entry point into the Middle East market.
