flydubai and Cyprus Airways have formed a new interline partnership that gives travellers on both carriers access to a significantly wider network of destinations across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the GCC, with Dubai International serving as the central hub.
Under the agreement, passengers can book travel on a single itinerary, with coordinated baggage handling and streamlined connections through Dubai. Cyprus Airways travellers departing from Larnaca will gain one-stop access to more than a dozen flydubai destinations, including Colombo, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Malé, Muscat, Riyadh and Krabi, among others.
Flydubai customers, in turn, will benefit from improved access to Cyprus through Cyprus Airways' Larnaca operations, supporting business travel, trade and tourism between the island nation and international markets.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said the agreement reflects the airline's focus on delivering seamless travel experiences and meeting growing demand across its network. Cyprus Airways CEO Thanos Pascalis described the partnership as a strategic step forward, reinforcing the carrier's commitment to expanding connectivity for its passengers through a proven international hub.
The interline deal adds to flydubai's steady expansion since its launch in 2009, during which it has opened more than 100 routes that previously had no direct air links to Dubai.
For travellers in Cyprus, the partnership translates into practical, efficient access to a broad range of business and leisure destinations without the complexity of separate bookings or baggage claims. For flydubai's wider passenger base, it adds another European point to an already extensive network.
The agreement takes effect immediately, with tickets bookable through both airlines.
