Dubai Future Foundation has opened applications for a new PropTech Data Sandbox, inviting technology companies and startups from across the world to test real estate data solutions within a controlled regulatory environment.

The initiative, launched under Sandbox Dubai in partnership with Dubai Land Department and Digital Dubai, gives innovators access to regulator-held data and room to trial new applications that would otherwise face regulatory constraints.

The programme targets PropTech entrepreneurs and companies working on real estate data solutions, whether based in the UAE or abroad. Selected applicants will work directly with Sandbox Dubai experts and regulators, gaining tailored support to refine their products and move toward market readiness. They will also tap into the wider Dubai Future Foundation ecosystem as they scale.

Khalifa Al Qama, Chief of Research, Development and Innovation at DFF, said the initiative creates space for innovators to overcome regulatory barriers and bring their solutions closer to real-world adoption, reinforcing Dubai's ambitions in real estate innovation.

Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at Dubai Land Department, said the programme lets the department engage directly with emerging technologies and assess their value in a practical market setting.

Afaf Bou Osaiba of Digital Dubai added that the sandbox will explore how data access can expand while privacy and governance standards remain intact, turning information into scalable, practical solutions.

The launch builds on a partnership DFF and DLD announced in November 2025 to support PropTech testing and scaling. Sandbox Dubai itself falls under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate's economy and place it among the world's top three city economies by 2033.

Applications for the PropTech Data Sandbox Open Call close on October 12, 2026.
