Dubai has awarded Golden Visas to a select group of educators at private early childhood centres, schools and higher education institutions, recognising their exceptional performance and contribution to shaping young minds.
The move follows directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The announcement coincided with World Teachers' Day and reflects the support Dubai's leadership has long extended to educators.
The Golden Visa initiative supports the Dubai Education 33 (E33) strategy, which aims to attract and retain inspiring educators whose expertise enriches student learning and strengthens the emirate's regional and international competitiveness. It also underlines the role of respected educators as essential partners in shaping the future of education.
Since its launch on October 5, 2024, the initiative has received applications from more than 835 educators. Candidates go through a fair and transparent professional assessment that considers academic qualifications, outstanding achievements, contributions to the education sector and wider community, and positive feedback from parents and students.
Eligibility is open to educators in private early childhood centres, schools and higher education institutions. Applicants must show outstanding academic achievements or creative contributions to education, a proven record of improving educational quality, and tangible impact and recognition within the education community. They must also have made significant contributions to improving student outcomes, including academic progress and the attainment of accredited qualifications.
Further details on eligibility requirements and the application process are available on the KHDA website.
