Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has facilitated a strategic partnership between UAE-based Meerana Technologies and Vietnamese technology firm FPT.
This collaboration aims to empower UAE nationals with advanced digital skills through specialized training programs in artificial intelligence (AI) and modern software.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters in the presence of His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and His Excellency Nguyen Thanh Diep, Ambassador of Vietnam to the UAE. The MoU offers Emiratis, including people of determination, opportunities to develop digital skills in AI and software via FPT Group's global training programs.
The partnership is a result of Meerana’s participation in the Dubai International Chamber's trade mission to Vietnam last May, where a business meeting with FPT Group explored potential cooperation. The chamber’s support led to the signing of the MoU, which covers sectors such as semiconductor, cloud computing, software and application development, product engineering, and technology.
This collaboration aligns with the ‘Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence’, which aims to accelerate AI adoption across sectors, positioning Dubai as a leading AI economy and tech pioneer.
Matar Almehairi, CEO of Meerana, highlighted the benefits of the agreement, noting that it provides UAE locals access to FPT’s pool of over 3,000 AI experts. This initiative aims to enhance Dubai’s profile as a hub for advanced technologies and innovation, contributing to its knowledge-based economy.
Rimah Ghaddar, Regional CEO at FPT, emphasized the value of the MoU for the UAE market. By leveraging AI, Cloud, Hyper-Automation, Automation, IoT, and Low-code technologies, FPT aims to drive digital transformation and create innovative solutions tailored to the UAE’s evolving needs.
Meerana Technologies, launched in 2022, specializes in software, hardware, IT services, outsourcing, and business advisory services. It has expanded to the UK, Egypt, and India. FPT Corporation, operating in IT, telecommunications, and education, secured $2.17 billion in revenue last year and employs over 48,000 people.
