Dubai has rolled out a new initiative inviting residents to turn their local knowledge into tangible rewards, offering discounts and perks to those who bring family and friends to experience the city firsthand.

Called "A Dubai Invite," the programme was developed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and runs until October 31, 2026. It targets the city's resident community, representing nearly 200 nationalities, who often serve as informal ambassadors for Dubai when hosting visitors.

Participants can access discounts of up to 45 percent on hotel stays and resort credits equivalent to full room rates at properties including W Dubai Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark, Melia Desert Palm, ME Dubai by Melia and IHG properties across the city. Additional privileges extend to attractions such as Aquaventure Waterpark, IMG Worlds of Adventure and Grand Hyatt Waterpark, along with dining venues including Asia Asia, Ula, Papas, The 305 and Lock, Stock and Barrer. Careem is contributing complimentary Plus memberships and transport rebates on Hala Taxi and related services.

Noor Al Geziry, AVP of Special Projects and MENA at DET, said residents have long been trusted ambassadors for the destination, noting that personal credibility increasingly shapes travel decisions. She added that the programme supports Dubai's ambition to be the best city to visit, live and work in, aligning with the UAE's Year of Family.

Residents hosting guests between July 20 and October 31, 2026 must register visitors through the official platform by September 30 to qualify. Arrivals are verified through a process supported by GDRFA Dubai, after which residents can claim benefits. Each resident may unlock up to three verified benefits during the programme period, with all promotions redeemable until December 31, 2026.
