The Dubai Press Club partnered with the Dubai Sports Council to organise the Arab Media Summit Mallathon at Dubai Mall, drawing more than 350 media professionals, content creators and industry representatives together in a fitness-driven networking event ahead of this year's summit.

Held under the theme "Arab Media Moves Towards the Summit," the event formed part of the citywide Dubai Mallathon initiative and served as an official countdown to the Arab Media Summit 2026, set to take place in September. The format blended physical activity with informal professional networking, giving participants a relaxed setting to connect before the region's largest media gathering.

Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, praised the Dubai Press Club for the initiative, noting it reflects Dubai's leadership in advancing Arab media and its ability to merge sport with meaningful engagement. He highlighted the Arab Media Summit's legacy of more than 24 years of professional dialogue and said the Mallathon initiative supports Dubai's broader push to make physical activity part of daily life while strengthening community ties across sectors.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, thanked the Sports Council for its collaboration and said the event captured the competitiveness and forward momentum associated with the summit since the launch of the Arab Media Forum over two decades ago. She added that the gathering boosted digital and media buzz around the upcoming edition.

The Arab Media Summit continues to serve as a strategic platform connecting decision-makers, thought leaders and content creators to address industry priorities and shape the sector's future.

At the event's close, organisers invited media professionals and content creators to register for the Arab Media Summit 2026 and take part in discussions on the opportunities and challenges facing Arab media.
