Dubai's working professionals are increasingly investing in executive MBA programs, with some spending up to Dh150,000 to enhance their qualifications while balancing work commitments.

The growing demand for part-time MBA options is primarily driven by mid-career individuals looking to advance their careers or switch industries, particularly in sectors like finance, healthcare, and technology.

Muhammed Rizwan, MBA Student Recruitment Supervisor at Middlesex University Dubai, noted that professionals are recognizing the value of “business-first” degrees, which offer significant industry exposure and are taught by experienced faculty.

"Our program delivers both, making it an ideal choice for professionals in a competitive market,"

he said. The Executive MBA program at Middlesex University Dubai costs Dh110,800, with a 20% MBA Study Grant available, as well as flexible payment plans.

Experts emphasize that such programs allow professionals to continue working while applying new knowledge to their roles. Dr. Anita Patankar, Executive Director of Symbiosis International University, Dubai, explained that evening MBA programs, with their flexibility, attract individuals wanting to enhance leadership and strategic skills or transition to new fields like AI and analytics.

"Our program, costing Dh45,000 per year, includes merit-based scholarships and those available through Esaad and Fazaa privilege cards,"

she added.

Dr. Assaad Farah, Dean at the American University in Dubai, highlighted the surge in enrollment for evening MBA programs, driven by their flexible schedules and focus on practical, industry-relevant skills. He also emphasized the valuable networking opportunities that these programs provide, helping professionals access new career prospects.
