Dubai to host MENA Organisation for Rare Diseases Annual Meeting 2023

The MENA Organisation for Rare Diseases Annual Meeting 2023 will be held in Dubai from March 3rd to 5th March, 2023.

Organised by the MENA Organisation for Rare Diseases and the UAE Genetic Disease Association, the conference is endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Ministry of Community Development, Dubai Health Authority, Emirates Health Services, and Sheikh Zayed Genetic Research Centre; in addition to partnership with more than 100 entities involved in rare diseases.

The organising team had an official visit to the patron of the conference, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and the president of UAE Genetic Diseases Association, and briefed him about the goals and relevant details of the event.

Chaired by Professor Ayman El-Hattab, the president of the MENA Organisation for Rare Diseases; and Dr. Maryam Mater, the Chairperson of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association; the conference is considered one of the largest events for rare diseases in the region.

The three-day event targets all stakeholders, including healthcare providers, decision makers, patients and family support groups, and non-profits. More than 100 speakers will deliver the latest developments in more than 120 presentations, workshops, and group meetings related to rare diseases.

Around 30 international speakers from outside the country, in addition to healthcare providers, students, researchers, individuals with rare disease and their families will participate in the conference (https://menararediseases.com/).

The UAE was chosen for this important international event for its advanced medical system to diagnose and treat rare diseases.
