Dubai is set to host the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, marking the first time the UAE will stage the continental cricket tournament. The competition will run from 28th August to 13th September at Dubai International Stadium.

Esha Oza will captain the UAE’s 15-member squad as the hosts prepare to compete against some of Asia’s leading women’s cricket teams.

The UAE has been placed in Group B alongside defending champions Sri Lanka, former winners Bangladesh and Indonesia. The home side will begin its campaign against Sri Lanka on 29th August before facing Indonesia on 4th September and Bangladesh on 8th September.

All matches during the tournament will be played under lights, with games beginning at 6:30 pm local time.

Following the group stage, the two semi-finals will take place on 10th and 11th September. The tournament will conclude with the final on 13th September.

The UAE secured its place in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup after qualifying through the 2026 Asian Cricket Council Premier Women’s Cup, which was held in Malaysia in June. Thailand also qualified for the main tournament through the same competition.

Hosting the Women’s T20 Asia Cup represents another major international cricket event for the UAE and gives the national team an opportunity to compete against leading Asian sides on home ground.
