The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced that the World Cities Culture Summit 2024 will take place from 30 October to 1 November 2024.

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, this prestigious event marks the first time the summit will be held in the MENA region.

Themed ‘Tomorrow’s Culture: How Will the Next Generation Shape our World?’, the summit will explore the evolving role of youth in shaping the cultural landscape. Discussions will focus on how global cities can nurture talent, invest in creative industries, and integrate culture into the development of future cities. The summit will also address pressing topics such as artificial intelligence in cultural policymaking, funding models for cultural projects, and culture’s role in addressing climate challenges.

Dubai's hosting of the event reinforces its reputation as a global cultural hub, with city leaders and creative professionals from around the world gathering to share insights and shape future cultural strategies. The event will also spotlight Dubai's creative industries, with a public session highlighting the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, emphasized that the summit will serve as a platform for international collaboration, further cementing Dubai’s leadership in the cultural sector. The event will include sessions at cultural landmarks across the city, showcasing Dubai's cultural tourism and its commitment to supporting the creative economy.
