Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism has signed a series of Memoranda of Understanding with major financial and logistics firms, strengthening support for local manufacturers looking to expand internationally.

The agreements were formalised during the 'Make it in the Emirates 2026' forum and fall under DET's Export Assistance Programme, which connects Dubai-based exporters with practical tools to navigate global trade.

On the financial side, partnerships with Emirates Development Bank and Etihad Credit Insurance will give manufacturers access to preferential trade finance solutions — including working capital, export finance, and guarantees — alongside export credit insurance that shields businesses from non-payment risks in foreign markets.

Logistics support comes through agreements with DHL, Aramex, and Al-Futtaim Logistics. Exporters will benefit from preferential shipping rates, tailored logistics solutions, and end-to-end supply chain support, helping them move products to international markets faster and at lower cost.

Mohamad Sharaf, COO of Investment Attraction at the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, said the partnerships translate Dubai's industrial ambition into real outcomes for businesses, from financing and risk protection to logistics efficiency.

The MoUs align with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which targets more than doubling manufacturing value-added output by 2033. By reducing financial barriers, protecting receivables, and improving logistics access, the programme aims to drive measurable growth in export value while reinforcing Dubai's standing as a global hub for trade and enterprise.

The Export Assistance Programme is designed to scale over time, with DEDC committed to expanding the range of support available to manufacturers and helping them compete across regional and global markets.
