e& UAE has unveiled Rannah, a secure communications solution designed, developed and hosted entirely in the UAE in collaboration with the Cyber Security Council (CSC).
Rannah is currently in its proof-of-concept phase. It has been created to give organisations reliable communications capabilities backed by locally developed technology, with integrated security features that strengthen protection for end users.
The solution is hosted within e& UAE's on-premises data centres, which allows it to be built around the country's regulatory and security requirements. Its scalable architecture is intended to grow alongside organisations as their operational and digital transformation programmes expand.
Rannah is aimed at enterprise and government customers, as well as medium and large organisations looking to tighten the security of their communications. It is expected to be of particular interest to IT, cybersecurity and digital transformation decision-makers seeking locally built technology that can support secure collaboration and future digital initiatives.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said developing national capabilities in secure communications is important to strengthening the country's digital resilience and supporting the secure growth of its digital economy. He added that the collaboration brings together national expertise to explore how locally developed and hosted technologies can meet evolving operational and security requirements.
Abdulla Al Ahmed, Chief Government & VVIP Relations Officer at e& UAE, said Rannah shows how local innovation can address the security, control and scalability needs of organisations across the country. He noted that designing, developing and hosting the solution in the UAE, alongside the Cyber Security Council, gives organisations greater confidence in how they connect and collaborate.
As the proof-of-concept phase progresses, e& UAE says its focus is on turning these capabilities into a practical and reliable service for enterprise and government customers.
