Emirates is rolling out Starlink satellite internet across its fleet at a pace of 14 aircraft per month, with 53 aircraft now connected as the airline works toward covering 232 aircraft in total, according to Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 33rd Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, Kazim said the rollout continues to gain momentum amid strong passenger demand and high uptake of the service, with engineering and technical teams pushing to bring connectivity to as many aircraft as possible.
Kazim struck an optimistic tone on the winter season ahead, citing Dubai's packed events calendar, higher flight frequencies and new destinations joining the network. He pointed to encouraging demand signals including bookings tied to the mid-term school break and outbound travel from the UAE during the holidays.
The airline is also growing its capacity more broadly. Its Airbus fleet is set to expand from roughly 30 aircraft today to 36 by year end and Emirates is awaiting the first Boeing 777-9 deliveries next summer.
On the cabin front, Kazim highlighted steady progress in the airline's retrofit programme and Premium Economy rollout. The cabin is now installed on 137 aircraft against a year end target of 155 and Emirates offers around 3.5 million Premium Economy seats annually.
Reflecting on Emirates' presence at ATM 2026, Kazim described the show as a key global gathering point for the travel industry and a chance to deepen ties with partners worldwide. He noted new agreements signed with entities in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah as well as with Malaysia, Seychelles, Mauritius and the Maldives, all aimed at boosting tourism flows to those destinations and the UAE. Kazim added that destination marketing and promotional campaigns remain a core part of Emirates' operations across its network.
