The sixth edition of the Interdisciplinary Urology Care Consortium (IUCC 2026) opened on 6 June at Conrad Dubai Hotel, drawing more than 600 physicians, specialists, researchers and healthcare professionals from over 14 countries for a two-day gathering focused on the future of urological care.
Running under the theme "Transcending Therapies, Driving Technologies," the forum features more than 76 international speakers and representatives from 29 participating companies and organisations. The programme spans seven scientific sessions, nine practical workshops and over 25 poster presentations, earning 14 Continuing Professional Development points accredited by the Dubai Health Authority.
A central focus of this year's edition is the integration of artificial intelligence, robotic surgery and advanced digital technologies into urological practice. Participants are being introduced to AI-supported educational tools, virtual and augmented reality applications, and live demonstrations of the latest urological technologies.
Scientific discussions cover a broad range of specialties including uro-oncology, kidney disease, men's health, female urological surgery, benign prostatic hyperplasia and minimally invasive surgical therapies. Practical workshops offer hands-on training in procedures such as bladder cancer management, penile prosthesis surgery and percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
Dr. Yasser Farahat, IUCC Co-Chair and Vice President of the Société Internationale d'Urologie, said the forum bridges scientific innovation and clinical practice while addressing the evolving challenges facing the specialty globally.
Ambassador AbdulSalam AlMadani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, described the consortium as a platform that reshapes global dialogue in urological surgery through multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based decision-making.
The event is organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions in collaboration with the Arab Association of Urology and the Arab School of Urology, with Dubai Business Events serving as the official destination partner.
