The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council has unveiled five new programmes aimed at training 250 content creators and journalists specialising in humanitarian and development-focused media.

The initiative falls under the Council’s broader “Impact Makers” programme, launched under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It seeks to equip media professionals with the tools to create impactful, digital-first humanitarian content.

The training is being implemented in partnership with the New Media Academy, a subsidiary of Visioneers Group and a leading regional hub for digital media innovation.

Set to roll out this year, the programmes will help participants strengthen their storytelling skills, refine their press communication techniques, and learn to adapt content for different formats and platforms. The goal is to enhance how humanitarian stories are told and understood by audiences across the region and beyond.

The training includes modules such as “Spokesperson Skills, Media Appearance, and Crisis Management in the Media,” “Humanitarian Impact Journalism,” and “Humanitarian Impact Content Creators.” The latter will feature two tracks, one developed in collaboration with the Arab Youth Centre.

By investing in the next generation of humanitarian storytellers, the Council aims to elevate the visibility and impact of development efforts and ensure that narratives of compassion, resilience, and recovery reach wider audiences with clarity and authenticity.
