The Palm Fountain at The Pointe in Dubai, the world's largest fountain, will have its final shows this weekend, with the last performance on May 14th, according to an online announcement.

The developer of the project, Nakheel, confirmed that the decision to close the fountain was made after careful consideration and planning, and further updates and details will be released in due course. Visitors and residents are encouraged to catch the last shows with their friends and family from May 12 to May 14.

According to a spokesperson, Nakheel reaffirmed its commitment to providing the best experiences to Dubai's citizens, residents, and visitors. The Palm Fountain, located on the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah, has been entertaining visitors since 2020.

The fountain holds a world record for having more than 3,000 LED lights, 7,500 nozzles, and can shoot water up to 105 meters. In addition to its dancing fountains, the site has also been a venue for spectacular fireworks displays on special occasions. Aerial night shots of the Palm display the fountain as a perfect complement to the golden glow of the Atlantis and the scenic waterfront destination.
