The UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain has opened the third edition of the UAE AI Award, shifting the initiative's focus toward Agentic AI as the country pushes to embed the technology across half of its government sectors, services, and operations.

The award recognises entities and individuals using Agentic AI to transform government performance, improve public services, and support community wellbeing. Organisers describe this edition as a reflection of the UAE's broader vision to position Agentic AI as a strategic partner in government transformation, rather than simply a digital tool.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, said the UAE has taken a comprehensive approach to expanding Agentic AI across government and society, describing a shift toward an operating model where the technology works alongside people to strengthen national talent and service delivery. He added that the award sets a new national benchmark by honouring initiatives that turn AI into a partner capable of delivering measurable results.

This year's edition is structured around five categories. These include Excellence in Agentic AI-Powered Services, Agentic AI Solutions Developed in the UAE, Best Government-Private Partnership in Agentic AI, Agentic AI Scientific Research, and the AI Leader category, which recognises individuals driving AI adoption within their organisations.

Federal and local government bodies, semi-government entities, private companies, academic institutions, and individuals are eligible to apply. Full details on categories, evaluation criteria, and the application process are available at ai.gov.ae/aiaward.

The UAE AI Award remains one of the country's flagship initiatives promoting innovation in artificial intelligence. Its first two editions drew more than 540 applications across multiple sectors, underscoring growing momentum behind AI adoption and its role in strengthening the UAE's global competitiveness.
