The UAE has ranked as the world's most attractive real estate investment destination, outpacing the United States, United Kingdom and major European markets, according to a new index commissioned by UAE developer Arada.
The Arada UAE Property Investment Index, conducted by US-based Penta Group between April 1 and 23, surveyed 689 established property investors across 12 markets. It is the first major study examining international buyer sentiment toward UAE real estate.
Fifty-six percent of global investors expressed serious interest in the UAE property market, edging out the US at 54 percent, the UK at 41 percent, France at 28 percent and Spain at 27 percent.
Regional appetite was especially strong. Ninety-two percent of Egyptian investors, 91 percent of Indian investors and 85 percent of Saudi investors ranked the UAE among their top three destinations. Among European investors, the UAE was the leading choice outside the home country for French investors at 63 percent, German investors at 60 percent and Swiss investors at 57 percent.
Strong returns emerged as the primary investment driver globally, cited by 38 percent of respondents. Safety and stability led among Chinese investors at 65 percent and German investors at 58 percent, while ease of purchase was a key factor for 34 percent overall, rising to 57 percent among Saudi investors.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said the findings confirm that international investors recognise the UAE's structural advantages, including regulatory maturity and stable economic fundamentals, despite recent regional headwinds.
The survey's release coincides with a series of major UAE infrastructure announcements, including the AED34 billion Dubai Metro Gold Line and the world's first commercial air taxi network, further reinforcing the country's long-term investment appeal.
