Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and London Business School (LBS) have announced a new initiative to support the professional development and career progression of Emirati women, with 10 scholarships on offer through LBS Executive Education Open programmes.
The scholarships are open to Emirati women from the DIFC community and are designed to help participants build new skills, broaden their leadership capabilities and accelerate their careers.
The initiative forms part of the DIFC Academy's 20th year of providing executive and academic education. It also reflects the Academy's commitment to connecting talent with some of the world's leading educational institutions.
Alya Alzarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority, said empowering Emirati women to play a greater role in the UAE's economy is central to DIFC's vision for a diverse and future-ready financial centre. She added that the partnership gives 10 Emirati women access to world-class executive education to strengthen their capabilities and advance their careers.
Sergei Guriev, Dean of LBS, said the school looks forward to welcoming more talented Emirati women into its learning community. He said the scholarships will give them the business education and global network to take the next step in their careers.
LBS is a longstanding member of the DIFC education ecosystem. It opened its first campus outside London in Dubai in 2007, a key milestone in its global expansion and a mark of its long-term commitment to the Middle East.
