Dubai has unveiled details of Dubai Access Club, billed as the world’s first city-led, invitation-only tourism membership programme, giving frequent visitors a five-year membership and a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa.
The programme was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and is delivered by the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). It aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Membership is available only through partner nominations. Invitations will go to eligible travellers through select loyalty programmes and multinational companies linked to launch partners Emirates, Accor and Visa, with more partners to follow.
Members can activate their membership once their visa applications are approved and eligibility criteria are met. Benefits include GDRFA Dubai’s ALSAADA Tourist Card, which offers privileges and promotions across the city, and a Majid Al Futtaim gift card loaded with credit for its retail stores and destinations. Partners will announce further offers, including hotel room upgrades, lounge access and advance booking windows for events.
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said repeat visitation has long been a cornerstone of Dubai’s growth. Major General Khalaf Ahmad Al Ghaith of GDRFA Dubai said the programme turns the city’s ambition to build lasting visitor relationships into services that make returning easier.
The initiative will also help multinational companies bring eligible employees back to Dubai for meetings and corporate events.
It follows DET’s launch earlier this year of A Dubai Invite, which offers residents exclusive benefits when they invite family and friends to visit.
