The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services played a critical role in responding to emergencies involving 235,394 individuals in 2023, and achieved a record average response time of 7.5 minutes, a 13% improvement from 2022.

The organisation also made crucial contributions to saving the lives of 90 individuals who had cardiac arrests in the past year.

His Excellency Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, said the organisation has become a global leader in ambulance and emergency medical services driven by its goal of protecting the lives of members of the community. Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai a leader in excellence and public services, the Corporation has made significant strides in the field.

 The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services aims to enhance emergency medical care quality and pre-hospital services to meet stakeholder expectations and improve overall quality of life, aligning with Dubai Social Agenda 33. In 2023, the Corporation reported significant achievements in community service operations, responding to 205,200 reports and providing medical care to 235,394 individuals. Notably, it achieved a 21% increase in life-saving interventions for cardiac arrests and reduced average response time to 7.5 minutes, marking a 13% improvement from the previous year, enhancing Dubai's reputation for excellence and innovation in healthcare.

Awad Al Ketbi highlighted the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services' commitment to swift responses and strategic urban planning, with the introduction of 12 new ambulance points in 2023, bringing the total to 133 across Dubai. Managed by a team of 1,375 personnel, including emergency doctors and paramedics, the corporation provides specialized ambulance services tailored to community needs.

Al Ketbi emphasized efforts to empower women, with 21% of the workforce comprising women, aligning with the UAE's vision for gender equality. The Corporation covered 42 major events and conducted extensive training and awareness programs, benefiting various sectors of society. Additionally, it regulated ambulance services, licensing training centers, healthcare facilities, and certifying professionals to ensure high-quality emergency medical care across Dubai.

Al Ketbi stressed that Dubai’s leadership places the highest priority on constantly enhancing healthcare services in Dubai, in alignment with the emirate's strategic plan to meet and address the needs of the community and fulfill their aspirations for a high quality of life.
