How did you initially come up with the idea or concept for the business?

Established in 2010, Mustang Trading Co. first specialized in only corporate gifts. The sourcing and distribution were procured from local suppliers in the United Arab Emirates mainly providing options and ideas to our clients for corporate gifts or promotional gifts and ensured quality by overseeing the design, production and delivery to our clients' satisfaction. We noticed clients kept complaining about suppliers and freelancers who have betrayed their trust with false promises, impaired quality of printing, scams, no etiquette, lack of transparency, rude behavior, lousy communication, missed deadlines etc. From this position, we were early to recognize the opportunity in providing a high level of service to clients with honesty and integrity which lacked in current suppliers who failed to meet clients expectations and continuously delivered low quality and false promises.

Tell us about some of the major turning points in the history of your business.

In 2010, we did a business survey. We asked companies what their #1 requirement was for selecting a business gifting company to work with, and the highest-ranked answer was "TRUST". We also noticed that most suppliers were based in Ajman and Sharjah with staff that lacked basic communication skills and hence made many mistakes. In 2011, we applied for an AED100000  loan with 16% interest, and we took the leap of faith and invested in machines, tools and a total of 4 people to start our in-house production. This was highly appreciated by our loyal customers in the United Arab Emirates as we worked hard, very hard, very very very hard and we ensured the highest quality with attention to minute details at the best prices. We provided door to door customer service as we dashed across Dubai to show samples and get approvals which made us stand out from the crowd.

What made you choose Dubai as a location to setup your business?

Dubai is more focused on tourism and business than any other Emirates, especially in 2010. As a firm believer in Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vision for Dubai, it was a no brainer. Since 80% of the suppliers were based in Ajman and Sharjah, it was also an added advantage to be based in Dubai for easy and fast customer support to our customers in Abu Dhabi/ Al Ain or in RAK or Sharjah as we were in the centre.

All staff have 5+ years of experience and are well trained and educated. 90% of our production is inhouse in our production facility in Ras Al Khor, Dubai -UAE. We continually introduce new products to the market. We are appointed distributors for many brands and commonly used items.

We are the first and only company in the UAE to use the latest Brother GTX printer to offer clients the best of direct to garment printing. Exclusive distributor for specific brands of promotional products and uniforms.
