Dubai-based carrier FlyDubai has announced it will double its daily flight frequency to Bangkok, Thailand, starting on July 18, 2026, in response to exceptionally strong travel demand. The additional daily flight comes just weeks after the airline initially launched its daily service to Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on July 1.
With this second daily service officially active, FlyDubai will now operate up to 21 weekly flights to Thailand. Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at FlyDubai, highlighted that the expansion offers passengers greater travel flexibility for the busy summer season while strengthening Dubai's position as a major global aviation hub.
The expanded Bangkok route will operate twice daily out of Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Passengers booking this route can benefit from the strategic codeshare partnership between FlyDubai and Emirates, which allows for seamless flight itineraries, single-ticket bookings, through-checked baggage, and access to a massive joint global network of over 240 destinations.
This major capacity boost to Thailand aligns with FlyDubai's wider network expansion plans. The airline recently initiated new flight routes to Benghazi in Libya and is scheduled to launch upcoming flights to Aleppo in Syria on July 20, 2026, followed by a new route to Pokhara in Nepal beginning September 23, 2026.
