How did you initially come up with the idea or concept for the business?
We were initially inspired by the natural crafting of soap using the cold process technique. We were even more driven to handcraft this type of soap because it is eco-friendly and biodegradable. Our brand’s aim was to innovate chemical free soap that would suit every type of skin.
Dunes soap design was influenced by the natural shape of Dubai’s desert dunes. Hence why our soap has this unique final look.
Tell us about some of the major turning points in the history of your business.
At first, we displayed our soap on a site known as Akshaak.com which promotes home-based businesses.
Over a period of time, while we worked on enhancing our availability online, we were officially on world-wide known websites such as Amazon, Noon, and Desertcart.
Currently, we have finally accomplished owning our official website.
What made you choose Dubai as a location to setup your business?
We chose Dubai because it is a great place to start a business due to it's strategic location and the services offered by the Dubai government to support local businesses.
In addition, Dubai gives us the opportunity to expand our business to the MENA region.
