The opening day of Medlab Middle East featured new elements that align with the theme of advanced technology and sustainability in the laboratory. The Sustainability in the Clinical Lab conference started with opening speeches discussing how labs can adopt environmentally-friendly practices and reduce their environmental impact. The conference also touched on diversity and inclusion in the workforce and provided a roadmap for establishing a culture of sustainability in GCC clinical labs.

Today, the Lab Sustainability Awards winners will be announced, honouring laboratories for their efforts towards sustainability aligned with one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Medlab Middle East will feature the debut of Labpreneur, showcasing the most innovative medical laboratory startups from around the world addressing unmet challenges and transforming the lab industry. The winner will be announced on the final day, Thursday, 9th February.
