Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, has launched a nationwide campaign to boost the visibility and competitiveness of UAE-made products under the 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the campaign brings together nine major retail and e-commerce partners, including ADNOC Distribution, Noon, Carrefour, Talabat, Lulu, and Spinneys. Running throughout May, the effort aims to increase shelf space and digital exposure for local products while offering manufacturers a robust package of incentives.
The initiative supports the UAE’s industrial strategy and aligns with the country’s Year of Community 2025, encouraging consumers to support local businesses. Incentives for participating manufacturers include waived registration fees, free digital advertising, logistics and storage support for up to three months, product registration assistance, and social media promotion.
A Memorandum of Understanding formalising the partnership was signed by MoIAT and executives from each participating company. The collaboration reflects a unified push to strengthen local supply chains and enhance the visibility of domestic goods across physical stores and online platforms.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, highlighted the campaign’s role in advancing public-private partnerships and improving the overall competitiveness of UAE industries.
“This initiative underscores our commitment to raising awareness about the quality of UAE-made products,”
he said.
The campaign sets the stage for the upcoming Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, scheduled from May 19–22 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which will serve as a key gathering for industrial leaders and investors.
Through this unified effort, the UAE aims to foster economic resilience and drive growth in its manufacturing sector.
