UAE residents are increasingly turning to wellness products and services to enhance their physical and mental well-being, a new survey reveals.

Conducted by Bon Charge, a manufacturer of wellness products, the survey found that 70% of UAE adults have used red light therapy (RLT) – a figure significantly higher than other countries, including the US, UK, and Australia. RLT, which uses low levels of red light to aid skin and cell recovery, is becoming a popular choice among those seeking non-invasive, science-backed wellness solutions.

The UAE’s health and fitness sector is poised for significant growth, with projections indicating the market for health and fitness clubs will reach Dh18.02 billion by 2030. Additionally, the wellness and health coaching market is expected to surpass Dh250 million by 2029, as highlighted in a Statista report. According to Blueweave Consulting, rising health awareness, high disposable incomes, and the proliferation of gyms and health clubs are driving this growth.

Dr. Cherine Bazzane, an expert in Integrative Wellness and Longevity Medicine, noted,

“Consumers in the UAE are becoming more conscious of the long-term benefits of their wellness choices, opting for solutions that support overall well-being.”

The survey also found a notable preference for at-home wellness technologies, which allow individuals to incorporate self-care into their daily routines without frequent clinic visits.

The growing demand for wellness services is further fueled by an increasing geriatric population in the UAE, with tailored wellness programs gaining traction to improve quality of life for older adults. The UAE is set to set a regional benchmark in wellness, with a focus on innovative, holistic healthcare initiatives.
