Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has unveiled its refreshed travel retail concept, Emirates World, in North Africa for the first time.
Located on Casablanca's upscale Franklin Roosevelt Boulevard, the 534-square-meter store is the airline’s largest retail space globally, highlighting its commitment to enhancing the customer experience in Morocco and the region.
The Emirates World store was inaugurated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Adil Al Ghaith, Emirates Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Centre, in the presence of His Excellency Alasri Aldhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Morocco. Distinguished guests, trade representatives, and media partners also attended the opening ceremony.
Adnan Kazim remarked,
“The opening of Emirates World in Casablanca comes just three weeks after our first store launch in Africa, fulfilling our promise to enhance the customer journey across our network of 19 cities on the continent. This concept brings our ‘Fly Better’ promise to life through personalized services, smart technologies, and immersive experiences, enabling us to connect more deeply with our customers and inspire them to explore more with Emirates.”
An Immersive and Personalized Experience
Emirates World is designed to offer a unique, customer-centric experience. The store features an open-plan, lounge-like environment with a light, airy design inspired by Emirates’ signature inflight ambiance. Nine customer service counters are staffed by experienced consultants who assist with travel itineraries, ticketing, and general inquiries.
The store’s centerpiece includes a full-size display of the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge and Premium Economy seat, providing customers with a firsthand experience of Emirates’ renowned products. Visitors can also enjoy innovative smart technologies, such as a ‘selfie mirror’ with scenic destination backdrops and self-service kiosks for faster and more efficient services.
Strengthening Ties with Morocco
Since launching its operations in Morocco in 2002, Emirates has flown over 3.65 million passengers between Dubai and Casablanca, playing a vital role in fostering aviation, tourism, and trade. The airline’s 2022 codeshare partnership with Royal Air Maroc has expanded connectivity to 18 domestic destinations, enabling seamless travel to cities such as Marrakech, Fez, and Agadir. Over 28,600 passengers have benefited from this partnership in the past year.
Emirates has also contributed to local job creation, with over 860 Moroccan nationals serving as cabin crew, bringing Moroccan hospitality to the skies.
With Emirates World, the airline reinforces its longstanding partnership with Morocco, offering innovative retail solutions that align with its vision to redefine travel experiences.
