The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has signed a partnership agreement with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to host a series of webinars focusing on different strategies and opportunities for advancing economic growth and enhancing global trade.

As part of the agreement, the DGHR hosted a series of webinars to address various topics, such as 'Using Analytics for Future Skills', 'Job Quality in the Future of Work', 'Capability-Building Practices in the Public Service', and 'Promoting Gender Balance in the Workforce and 'Generative Artificial Intelligence and the world of work.’ In addition to highlighting the challenges that have affected the international trade system, the webinars also featured keynote speakers and experts from top economies who offered their insights on best practices.

Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Director General of the DGHR, expresses enthusiasm for strengthening collaboration with the OECD to enhance Dubai's policies on human resource empowerment, government performance, and productivity. This partnership aims to incorporate international best practices, leveraging the OECD's extensive knowledge. Al-Falasi highlights the significance of webinars organized by DGHR, featuring global experts discussing topics relevant to the business community. These discussions focus on promoting workplace inclusivity, achieving balance, and fostering a diverse and sustainable economic environment. Al-Falasi emphasizes the importance of aligning human development programs with national goals to enhance institutional efficiency and address current trends.

Iman Saleh Bin Khatam, Director of Policy and Programme Support at DGHR, inaugurated a webinar on 'Promoting Gender Balance in the Workforce', highlighting the UAE's initiatives in this regard and their impact on workforce policies. The webinar included panel discussions on equal pay, non-discrimination, and career advancement. Bin Khatam emphasized webinars as vital platforms for analyzing economic landscapes and discussed topics crucial in international trade, business, and human resources. She stressed the potential of DGHR's webinars in accelerating the adoption of best practices for institutional operations and service delivery, ensuring gender balance, and exploring future work environments and job skills. She highlighted the opportunity to share ideas on a wider scale through collaboration with the OECD.

During the webinar on 'Promoting Gender Balance in the Workforce', the OECD also presented a comprehensive overview of the gender policies implemented by its member states. These initiatives address a wide range of issues, including parental leave, childcare, flexible work arrangements, pay transparency, and non-discrimination legislation.

Moving forward, the DGHR intends to host additional webinars on several development and economic topics in close collaboration with the OECD.
