Ibn Battuta Mall, by Dubai Retail, is expanding its line-up with 38 new and upcoming openings across retail, dining and entertainment.
Twenty-one businesses are already welcoming customers, and a further 17 will open by the end of 2027.
The mall opened in 2005 and draws an average of about 1.5 million visits each month. Its six architecturally themed courts are inspired by the travels of the 14th-century explorer it is named after. More than 350 businesses currently operate there, and the new openings are meant to keep the tenant mix relevant to customers and surrounding communities.
Dining sees a major expansion. Five Guys, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, Marugame Udon and Caribou Coffee now sit alongside Halla Shawarma, Zaika and Butter & Bread. Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory will follow in the coming months.
Entertainment is led by Roxy Cinemas, which will extend the mall’s appeal from daytime shopping into the evening. Hopa Loompa Entertainment will add a major attraction for families. Zamania by Leo & Loona and Like Bricks have opened recently, and Toy Station is preparing to launch.
Fashion and lifestyle additions include Jack & Jones, Anta, Tanishq, Magrabi, Mumuso and Suit Sartoria, with OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements to come. Chemist Warehouse, Midi, My Shops and Cantata will add further variety.
Services for everyday needs are also growing, with ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco Copy & Print Centre among the new names. Residential growth around the mall over the past decade has brought a larger and more diverse customer base.
