Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of the Dubai Contractors Business Group, a new platform designed to represent the interests of contracting companies and reinforce their role in the emirate's economic development.
The group will serve as a formal bridge between contracting firms, government entities, and private sector stakeholders, facilitating dialogue on sector opportunities, regulatory development, and long-term sustainability.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the move reflects the chamber's commitment to supporting sectors that strengthen Dubai's standing as a global business destination. He added that the contracting sector is a key driver of infrastructure and urban development projects that contribute to economic growth and quality of life across the emirate.
Abdulla Saeed Al Naboodah, appointed Chairman of the Dubai Contractors Business Group, noted that the sector has played a central role in Dubai's transformation into a globally recognised model for urban excellence and innovation. He said the group would bring industry leaders together to strengthen competitiveness, raise professional standards, and ensure the sector remains aligned with the UAE's long-term development goals.
Beyond representation, the group will focus on regulatory advocacy, pushing for policies that support sustainable growth within the contracting industry. It will also work to improve understanding of legal frameworks and elevate professional standards across member companies.
The Dubai Contractors Business Group joins a wider network of business groups operating under Dubai Chamber of Commerce, each tasked with representing distinct sectors of the emirate's economy and channelling private sector perspectives into policy conversations with government bodies.
