Dubai Press Club has launched the third edition of its Arab Podcast Program, an initiative aimed at strengthening the region's podcasting industry by equipping emerging talent with the creative, technical, and professional skills needed to produce high-quality audio and video content.
The three-week program begins on July 13 at Dubai Press Club headquarters and will bring together podcasters, experts, and trainers from across the Arab world. Sessions will cover every stage of podcast production, from concept development and audience identification to publishing and marketing. Leading regional and international digital platforms are supporting the initiative.
Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, said the program reflects a commitment to media as a key partner in shaping the future. She noted that podcasting has become one of the most influential forms of new media, offering a platform for creativity and knowledge exchange that supports Dubai's ambitions for a stronger Arab media landscape.
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, said the latest edition builds on the success of previous years by offering more specialised training tailored to the industry's evolving needs. She added that the curriculum blends editorial and creative skills with technical and commercial expertise, giving participants direct access to industry experts.
Wedad Kahoor, Section Head of Media Talent Development at Dubai Press Club, said applicants must be aged between 18 and 35, reside in the UAE, and have strong Arabic communication skills along with a reasonable grasp of technology.
A panel of experts will evaluate completed projects in August, with three winners announced at a graduation ceremony held during Dubai PodFest 2026 as part of the Arab Media Summit in September.
The deadline to apply is July 12. Interested candidates can register at dpc.org.ae.
