The UAE and China strengthened their economic partnership with the signing of 24 agreements at a high-level business conference in Beijing, signaling deeper collaboration across trade, investment, and innovation.

Held under the theme “From Vision to Value,” the UAE-China Business Promotion Conference brought together ministers, senior officials, and business leaders from both countries. The event took place alongside the official visit of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who is leading a senior delegation to China.

The agreements, formalised through Memorandums of Understanding, aim to expand cooperation across key sectors and unlock new avenues for bilateral growth. Officials from both sides highlighted the importance of sustained engagement to drive long-term economic outcomes.

Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, said the conference reflects the strength of a longstanding partnership built on shared economic goals. He noted that non-oil trade between the UAE and China surpassed $100 billion for the first time in 2025, reaching $111.5 billion with an annual growth rate of 24.5 percent.

China remains the UAE’s largest trading partner, accounting for around 11 percent of the country’s total non-oil trade. The UAE, in turn, is China’s leading partner in the Middle East and Africa, contributing over 20 percent of its non-oil trade with the region over the past decade.

The conference was co-hosted by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade and China’s Ministry of Commerce, with support from the UAE Embassy in Beijing and key Chinese trade organisations.
