Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with FedEx, the world's largest express transportation company, aimed at helping Dubai-based businesses strengthen their export capabilities and expand into international markets.
The agreement brings together FedEx's global logistics network and trade expertise with Dubai Chambers' extensive member base, offering preferential logistics programmes, streamlined onboarding, and customs advisory support. The partnership targets both small and medium enterprises and larger companies looking to simplify cross-border trade and compete on a global scale.
Among the services included in the deal is ATA Carnet support, which allows businesses to move goods across borders more efficiently, reinforcing Dubai's standing as a major hub for international trade.
The MoU was formalized at Dubai Chambers' headquarters, with Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, signing alongside Nitin Tatiwala, Vice President of Marketing, Customer Experience and Air Network at FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.
AlJarwan said the partnership reflects Dubai Chambers' commitment to building a supportive business environment and helping companies expand their regional and global footprint through practical, service-driven collaboration. He noted that working with FedEx would improve export readiness and speed up the delivery of Dubai-based products and services worldwide.
Tatiwala said the agreement underscores FedEx's long-term commitment to the UAE as a global trade hub, adding that combining the company's network and digital capabilities with Dubai Chambers' business ecosystem would give companies of all sizes a stronger platform to compete internationally.
The initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to double the emirate's economy by 2033 and place it among the world's top three economic cities, with a continued focus on international expansion and digital transformation for local businesses.
