Dubai is set to become the global hub for intensive care innovation as it hosts the 21st Emirates Critical Care Conference from May 9 to 11 at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel, alongside the 2nd World Summit of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care (WFICC).
This major medical gathering will bring together more than 2,000 healthcare professionals from 45 countries, including top physicians, nurses, and researchers. Backed by over 35 scientific societies, the event also features six major affiliated conferences spanning critical care, emergency medicine, and nursing.
The three-day summit will showcase the latest in artificial ventilation, critical care drugs, and breakthrough research. According to Prof. Dr Hussein Al Rahma, the Founding President of the Emirates Critical Care Conference and Chairperson of the event, the platform is designed to foster global collaboration and advance evidence-based best practices developed in the post-pandemic era.
With 275 speakers—130 international, 65 regional, and 80 local—the conference will present 381 lectures across 77 sessions, supported by workshops, training courses, research presentations, and industry seminars. Strategic agreements with international medical institutions are also expected to be signed.
The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including sepsis, fluid therapy, anaesthesia, trauma, nephrology, cardiology, nutrition, geriatrics, and CPR. Additionally, 34 companies will exhibit cutting-edge critical care technologies and ventilation solutions.
This high-level scientific platform marks a significant milestone in the region’s healthcare landscape, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leader in global medical collaboration and innovation.
