Dubai Police has officially launched preparations for the World Police Summit 2025, set to take place next Tuesday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Backed by the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event aims to unite global law enforcement leaders and experts to shape the future of policing.
Running for three days, the summit will host more than 300 speakers and delegates from international organisations including INTERPOL, Europol, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. It will focus on pressing global security issues such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, organised crime, and crisis management.
Brigadier Dr. Saleh Rashed AlHamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Leadership at Dubai Police, emphasised the summit's role in enhancing international cooperation and driving innovation in policing. He noted that the event reflects Dubai’s position as a global hub for security dialogue and strategic partnerships.
Now in its fourth edition, the summit has grown significantly, recording a 25% year-on-year increase in international participation. It will also feature twelve conference tracks, expanded from seven last year, alongside a record-breaking number of award nominations—up 200% from previous editions.
New additions to this year’s programme include an Academic Zone showcasing global police institutes, a Startup Zone for emerging technologies, and a Demonstration Hub for live scenario-based exercises.
Lt. Col. Dr. Rashid Hamdan AlGhafri, Secretary-General of the Summit, highlighted the event’s focus on exchanging best practices and leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Over 170 exhibitors are expected at the International Exhibition for Policing and Law Enforcement, offering a look at the latest in smart systems, drones, and data analytics.
The summit also underscores diversity and inclusion, aiming to empower women and young professionals in shaping the future of global security.
