Kuwait Airways and Emirates have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their partnership and enhance travel options for passengers.
The agreement, unveiled at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, will pave the way for an interline agreement, offering passengers more flight choices to Dubai and other destinations.
The MoU was signed by Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, and Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim. The signing ceremony, attended by prominent figures including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and officials from both airlines, marks a significant step in the growing cooperation between the two carriers.
Captain Al-Fagaan expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the importance of Emirates as a strategic partner. He emphasized that the agreement would not only enhance commercial operations between Kuwait and the UAE but also bolster bilateral relations between the two countries.
Emirates’ Adnan Kazim echoed the sentiment, stating that the agreement would provide Kuwait Airways passengers with expanded flight options and improved schedules to Dubai and beyond, leveraging Emirates’ vast global network. Emirates, which has served Kuwait since 1989, currently operates 29 weekly flights using its A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, both equipped with Premium Economy and newly configured Business Class cabins.
This collaboration promises to bring more flexibility and convenience to travelers while reinforcing the ties between the two leading Middle Eastern airlines.
