A new three-way partnership between the Digital School, Transguard Group and the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) aims to bridge the gap between digital education and employment, creating 1,000 job opportunities for youth in underserved communities.
Announced under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the collaboration forms part of the Skills Academies initiative and is backed by the Ataya Initiative of the Emirates Red Crescent. The partnership brings together digital learning, applied training and direct employment within a single integrated framework.
The first academy to launch under the agreement is the Facility Management Academy, targeting one of the sectors seeing the fastest-growing workforce demand. It will serve as a practical model for connecting structured digital learning with clear employment pathways.
Under the arrangement, the Digital School will provide strategic oversight and ensure programmes stay aligned with labour market needs. CERT will design and deliver training while managing the learner journey, and Transguard Group will serve as the employment partner, offering workplace training and sustainable career pathways for graduates.
Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary-General of the Digital School, said the initiative transforms education and training into a direct catalyst for economic development, equipping young people with practical, future-focused skills needed across the labour market.
Transguard Group CEO Rabie Atieh highlighted the company's long-standing commitment to workforce development, noting the partnership's benefits extend beyond employers to positively impact individuals, families and communities.
CERT CEO Mohammed Gheyath added that the initiative reflects the organisation's leadership in large-scale applied learning, creating an ecosystem that directly links training with employment and accelerates workforce entry for learners.
