The Dubai Press Club brought together media professionals and content creators for an insightful session on artificial intelligence, marking another milestone in its newly launched Media Workshops series.
Held at DPC, the session titled 'Artificial Intelligence… Simplified' featured Emirati content creator Ebrahim Bolehyool, who explored AI's expanding role in media and how it is reshaping content creation across text, image and video formats.
DPC Director Maryam Al Mulla said AI has become a global priority given its rapid development and wide-ranging capabilities.
"The session aimed to present a simplified understanding of how media professionals can benefit from AI tools in supporting their work and enhancing content creation,"
she said, adding that the club remains committed to keeping pace with the evolving media landscape and fostering knowledge exchange between media and technology experts.
Bolehyool drew on his firsthand experience using generative AI for community awareness content, walking attendees through how AI systems function, including their reliance on data, algorithms and neural networks to analyse information, detect patterns and produce content efficiently.
The session spotlighted widely used platforms such as Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude and ElevenLabs, examining how each can support the creative process and help turn ideas into compelling visual and audio content tailored to specific audiences.
Bolehyool was clear on one key point: AI does not replace creative thinking. He emphasised that the most effective results come from combining human creativity with AI capabilities, a pairing he described as producing stronger and more distinctive outcomes.
The Media Workshops series reflects DPC's broader mission to equip media professionals with practical knowledge at the intersection of journalism and emerging technology.
