The Dubai Press Club brought together media professionals and content creators for an in-depth session on artificial intelligence, reinforcing its commitment to preparing the industry for a technology-driven future.
Held under the club's newly launched Media Workshops series, the session titled "Artificial Intelligence… Simplified" featured Emirati content creator Ebrahim Bolehyool, who guided attendees through the practical applications of AI in text, image and video production.
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, noted that AI has emerged as a global priority given its rapid advancement and wide-ranging capabilities. The session, she said, was designed to offer media professionals a clear and accessible understanding of how AI tools can support their work and elevate content quality.
Bolehyool drew on his own experience using generative AI for community awareness content, walking participants through how AI systems function — from data processing and pattern recognition to content generation via neural networks. He also reviewed widely used platforms including Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude and ElevenLabs, demonstrating how each can help transform ideas into targeted visual and audio content.
A key takeaway from the session was Bolehyool's view that AI is not a replacement for human creativity. He stressed that the strongest results come from combining creative thinking with AI capabilities — a message that resonated with the professionals in attendance.
Al Mulla reaffirmed that the Dubai Press Club remains focused on tracking shifts in the media landscape and fostering meaningful dialogue between media and technology experts.
The Media Workshops series signals the club's broader push to equip industry practitioners with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate an increasingly AI-influenced media environment.
