The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives spent over AED2.3 billion in 2025, reaching 165 million beneficiaries across 122 countries — 16 million more people than the year before, according to its annual Year in Review report unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
The figures were presented at a Board of Trustees meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed and attended by senior members of Dubai's leadership, underscoring the strategic weight behind the organisation's expanding humanitarian footprint.
"True impact is not measured by what we announce, but by what changes in people's lives,"
Sheikh Mohammed said, adding that the UAE's philanthropy efforts are backed by sustainable endowments worth over AED7 billion.
Across its five pillars — Humanitarian Aid and Relief, Healthcare and Disease Control, Education and Knowledge, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Empowering Communities — MBRGI deployed resources at scale. Healthcare received the largest share of spending at AED872 million, while education programmes reached an estimated 106 million people. The Fathers' Endowment campaign, launched during Ramadan, surpassed its AED1 billion target by raising AED3.72 billion from more than 277,000 contributors.
On the humanitarian front, the 1 Billion Meals initiative — launched in 2022 — was completed in July 2025, with one billion meals distributed across 65 countries. The organisation also dispatched 789 metric tonnes of aid to Palestine, Afghanistan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka through Dubai Humanitarian.
Nearly 186,000 volunteers, alongside 990 staff members, drove the on-ground delivery of these programmes worldwide.
Secretary General Mohammad Al Gergawi noted that MBRGI's model goes beyond emergency relief, focusing on building sustainable frameworks that drive long-term development across vulnerable communities globally.
