The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen economic cooperation and support Emirati business expansion into global markets.
The agreement, signed at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) headquarters, marks a strategic step in the Federation’s push to build international partnerships that benefit the UAE’s private sector and national economy.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation and Chairman of SCCI, emphasized that the partnership aims to create greater opportunities for Emirati entrepreneurs, particularly in Australia, by opening access to global investment channels and fostering cross-border collaboration.
“By strengthening partnerships with relevant international organisations, federations, and entities, we constantly seek to foster cooperation, broaden the scope of joint initiatives, and advance both current and future trade, economic, and investment relations,”
Al Owais said.
Lyall Gorman, Vice President of the Australian Chamber, hailed the MoU as a pivotal opportunity for shared growth. He underscored the importance of dialogue and information exchange to stimulate business engagement across both nations.
Under the agreement, the two chambers will share market insights, updates on business regulations, and facilitate the exchange of trade delegations. These efforts are expected to enhance commercial ties and unlock new avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Australian business communities.
The signing was attended by senior officials from both countries, reflecting a shared commitment to deeper economic integration and private sector empowerment.
