Emirates has deepened its alliance with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) by extending its prestigious Diamond Elite executive partnership, reinforcing its role in shaping Dubai’s emergence as a global cruise hub.
CLIA, which represents over 90 percent of the world’s ocean cruise fleet, offers Emirates direct access to more than 55 cruise lines and a vast network of industry leaders. This extended collaboration will allow the airline to tap into key markets, promote its fly-cruise offerings, and strengthen ties with cruise executives, travel trade members, and advisors.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the renewed partnership comes at a time when the cruise industry is witnessing strong demand and steady growth across multiple traveler segments. He emphasized the airline’s aim to boost cruise passenger arrivals through its global network and premium services.
The partnership also supports Dubai’s strategic positioning as a premier cruise destination, leveraging the city's integrated air, land, and sea infrastructure, along with world-class tourism offerings.
Karyn Gruenberg, CLIA’s Managing Director of Enterprise Development, welcomed the continued engagement, noting that the collaboration reflects Emirates’ commitment to the cruise sector and CLIA’s global advocacy efforts. She highlighted the forecast of 37.1 million global cruise passengers in 2025, with Dubai gaining traction as a homeport.
As a Diamond Elite Executive Partner, Emirates gains priority access to industry events, sponsorship opportunities, market insights, and branding across CLIA’s digital channels, further strengthening its presence in the cruise travel space.
