Emirates Development Bank is injecting an average of AED 20 million into the economy each day, reinforcing business continuity and shielding key sectors from global market disruptions.

The bank’s daily financing drive targets immediate liquidity needs, ensuring manufacturers, technology firms, and food producers maintain operations without interruption. By accelerating access to working capital, the initiative supports timely procurement of raw materials and stabilises domestic supply chains amid ongoing global volatility.

Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Mohamed Al Naqbi said the strategy reflects the urgency required in today’s environment, where supply chain constraints can rapidly impact production. He noted that the bank is prioritising speed and precision in delivering funds, backed by strong credit risk frameworks.

To sustain this pace, EDB has streamlined its lending processes, easing approval requirements and updating liquidity and capital frameworks. These changes are designed to improve access to financing while strengthening the bank’s responsiveness to evolving market conditions.

The initiative is further supported by partnerships with local banks and financial technology firms, enabling faster and broader access to funding for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Since launching its strategy in 2021, EDB has contributed AED 11.3 billion to the UAE’s non-oil GDP and facilitated AED 74.6 billion in industrial capital expenditure. The bank continues to channel funds into priority sectors including manufacturing, advanced technology, healthcare, renewables, and food security, reinforcing its role in driving economic diversification and resilience.
